Company History
THE COMPANY. Abal Material Handling was founded in 1978. Since 1988 we have occupied our 29,000 square ft. facility located in Downtown Roanoke's Century Business Center, one block from the Civic Center. We currently employ 18 people, including our overhead door and dock division, The Door Doctor. We are growing, profitable, and enjoy a solid reputation based on service, quality, and competitive pricing. Our client list includes Norfolk Southern, DuPont, Dana, AEP, Volvo, General Electric, Warner Lambert, Advance Auto, and other Fortune 1000 companies.
THE SERVICE. We will specify, layout, design, engineer, install, and service all the products and systems we offer. Our responsibility is to work with the client to determine those areas where we can be of value to you. With that information, we put our knowledge and experience to work to package a combination of in-house services, with those of our manufacturers and independent sub-contractors. The mix is tailored to fit your project requirements--it can be anything from specifying and supplying individual pieces of equipment, to entire systems or sub-systems.
